I take it semi-conductors are in short supply?
Ask Jacob Rothschild what's going on. He owns Freescale Semi-conductors.

Personally, I believe it is just the beginning of "shortages" to come. All planned. Stop making them so they have a reason why there is a shortage. Get your pantries stocked.

New cars can't get their microchips. We started ordering a Generac generator back in Sept. We should get it in June, they are that far behind. Lumber has skyrocketed. Unreal. Just some off the top of my head.

We have two small generators. My hubby has a gas one and last winter I ordered a solar one with folding solar panels.
That's over 6 months before you get yours.

We have a gas one as well but whenever we lost power, I had to call my husband to come home 'cos I do NOT feel comfortable turning it on. Off, is another thing lol Fortunately, we haven't lost power since ordering the Generac. We got the big one so the entire house will be powered. No having to worry about plugging in the fridge & unplugging it to plug in an extra heater. We lost power in an Arctic Blast in Feb 2019. Was only 23 hours, we were fortunate, but without the furnace running, little space heaters didn't cut it. We decided to save up & look around for a Whole Home one!

Chip Shortage Forcing Farmers to Plan Ahead...Almost every piece of farm equipment, like most everything else in our lives, needs a computer chips to operate. Due in part to the Covid 19 Pandemic, there is a massive worldwide shortage of chips; and the industry is unable to meet the skyrocketing demand. Industry sources say the current shortage will not be resolved until sometime in 2022. Meanwhile, farm equipment manufacturers have halted shipments to dealers because they don’t have the chips to put in the equipment... linkHuh, no chips, no farm equipment, no food.

Learn to live off the land.
I've bought a few books in the past to re-introduce myself to all our native flora. Edible and medicinal uses. Not to mention a bucket load variety of fruit and vegetable seeds to grow if and when the shit hits the fan big time.

Yeah, I bought a bunch of non-gmo seeds years ago. All in vacuum sealed bags. It's there if I need it. And I have a collection of books. Some natural medicinal, some on animal husbandry. Some on homemade crafts: weaving...heck it's been so long since I looked at them I can't remember what they contain anymore. But they are there.
