Beef Shortage First, a big ship got stuck in the Suez Canal; then prices for commodities such as lumber surged as a result of the demand for new housing; and then a cyberattack cut off the East Coast’s gasoline supply. Now it looks like there could be a meat shortage in the United States thanks to another cyberattack, this time on a Brazilian beef firm. linkInside job. Just like 9/11. But make it look like it was someone else. |

Remember when Xiden made a speech awhile back saying Americians would reduce eating meat by 90% by the year 2030 to cut gas emissions? I'm sure it's just coincidental.

I wouldn't get too concerned with that. You get more protein from veggies. Look at the biggest animals on the planet, they are all herbivores.

Meat definitely isn't necessary. Some people think it is but it's definitely not.

I've gone without red meat for about 4 years now. The only meat we eat at home is chicken and fish.

No my point was connecting what Xiden said to the sudden meat shortage. For both of you, my husband is an avid hunter. So we eat meat. Our meat is from what my husband harvests and from our own, resident butcher and we choose the steer when we put in an order. Right now all of our freezers are full. Not only meat but other goodies as well. |

We went to the store yesterday and there were definite shortages. My husband talked to the store manager and he said companies can't get raw ingredients to make their product.
