I'm looking forward to fall to. It's my favorite season. A sigh of relief the summer work and hot temperatures are over. I will miss the summer harvests. Yoda, you are going into summer by now, right? When will those grapefruits be ripe? We are in early spring. There is new growth on the grapefruit tree very soon to flower. Then natures goodness will appear shortly after. The lemon tree is looking a bit sad this year. Might have to give some extra love (fertiliser).

I'm getting to the point where I just don't give a fuck any more. They can do and say all they like, but if they ever enter my home uninvited they'd better be prepared. Because I will be.

Ah, here you all are, sitting round Linen’s table for a cuppa. We are cooler in the morning and hot at night. At least Saturday was this way. It is harvest festival season here, each community celebrating their harvest. We travel from festival to festival to see old cars and crafts, watch parades, meet old friends and eat fair food. (hugs)

Good morning violetflame. Nice to share a cup with you. I am on my first cup. Have a scone if you wish (American version). Great with coffee.
Yesterday was hot, this morning at first light it was 69 degrees! Today is the last 90 + day of the year I believe. I have a dog that has been feeling puny the last few days so I will bring her in the house later today when it gets firecracker hot. She goes into the vet's this week to find out what is wrong with her. She is eating, drinking and peeing, but lethargic. I hope it isn't anything serious.

I called this morning and have a sit-and-wait appointment (till they can fit me in) with my vet tomorrow at 4:30. Tia is still lethargic. Still eating and drinking and peeing but very weak. Appetite is good but not great.

The visit to the vet went well. Lisa, our vet, is wonderful. Tia's exam was lengthy. Waiting for results in between procedures. A cat scan revealed she has blood in her abdomen. At first Lisa hoped the cancer was in her spleen. Tia can have the spleen removed and survive just fine. But the cat scan revealed a healthy spleen. Next up is the liver. Lisa is pretty sure there are lesions on the liver. Which Tia cannot survive from removing the liver.
Lisa has her on heavy meds to try to stop the bleeding. I take her back in on Friday for an update. I really can't see a positive outcome. If the liver has cancer, the liver has cancer. So we will spend this time together saying goodbye.
