Sounds like you stocked up well! My one son loves the peppers. I might have to try to flame some and see if he likes it.

Do you have a gas stove? If so just place the peppers on top of the burner and rotate until they begin to char all around. If you don't, maybe an air fryer. An outdoor grill or your broiler setting on your oven will work to. Anyway wash the peppers and dry well before putting them on, using hot heat until the peppers char rotating them until the char is all the way around. Then place them in a plastic bag and seal until they cool. It's called sweating them. Then take a knife and peel off the "skin". Open and deseed. Anaheim, Poblano, Hatch, Pueblo are some of the varieties common here. They are the big peppers. Make sure you don't get the hot ones. Hot is good but not these kind of peppers. Here you are looking for flavor.  |

No, we don't do anything either. It is just the welcomed passage from summer into fall, even though we still have about 3 weeks until things cool down here.

Yikes! Not ready for that here. Temps are still in the 90's. Sunday is the last 90+ degree day. Then we drop down into the 80's for awhile. Hopefully a reasonable long while.

Our nights are cooler now. Still warm, 70's and 80's in the day, but that is gonna change soon. I love the fall season!!!! Look forward to it!

I'm looking forward to fall to. It's my favorite season. A sigh of relief the summer work and hot temperatures are over. I will miss the summer harvests. Yoda, you are going into summer by now, right? When will those grapefruits be ripe?  |
