So I must be crazy...

we just purchased 55 acres of land. most of it is woods. there is a large pond, a natural spring, the beginning of the Susquehanna river, two grave spots of unknown veterans from the civil war, the rest of the land is fields that farmers pay us to plant corn. today my husband and walked all around the property and at one point sat on an old fallen tree and just remained quiet. while doing that a chipmunk came up beside me and looked me in the eye for a moment and then scurried away. it was so peaceful. this spring we plan to put some benches around the pond, maybe dredge it. the boys wanna build tree houses. my spirit is so full of peace right now. i actually cried tears of joy while we were there. my husband held me. i told him at one point in my life, me and my eldest two lived in a homeless shelter and now we own all this land. i felt blessed.

It sounds like a dream come true.

Today my one son said to me that the opinions of others on who he is doesn't bother him because he is aware that other peoples perceptions are their own business, be them good or bad. He says his perception of who he is, is what matters. I agreed with him wholeheartedly. Then I brought up how the balance of emotions and intelligence helps in making good decisions. He then told me that he knows his intelligence and emotions are not wise enough to make big decisions, so he relies on his soul for that. His words surprised me.
