We live in the country. Many are still wearing masks, but I'm sure compared to the big cities it is relaxing more and more. We live rural, on a dirt road & it's lax here.

Everything is fine. I had my appointment yesterday. Wanted to post the results here so both of you could see it. Valves are good, heart is sound. I do have a problem with my aorta artery. It is supposed to be 3cm, mine is 4.9cm in one spot and 4.3cm in another spot. Doctor is going to order a CT scan to get a better look. I'm not in danger but the doctor wants to keep an eye on it. I have to go in yearly for updates from now on. He said if it gets to 5.5cm then we have to consider surgery, otherwise it might burst. He said to think of a balloon. As it gets bigger and bigger the rubber gets thinner and thinner. I'm so glad I had it checked. We discussed my hubby going in and having his ticker checked. His family has a history of heart disease. And surprise, surprise, he is willing to do it. I think maybe my results kind of woke him up to reality, rather than just being stubborn. And he really liked the doctor. So I have to have a CT scan and come back in 6 weeks for the results and further the game plan. My blood pressure has been sky high for the past year. We've been working on it but with little positive results. And of course the pain I experience on a daily basis is causing the blood pressure to be high. This has more than likely, caused the ballooning of the aorta. If my blood pressure is still bad in 6 weeks, more meds. I'm on 7 now, all at maximum dosage. Thank you for the update! My dad was on a lot of BP meds too & I personally think it's ridiculous to be on so many. Have you considered trying the holistic way, figure out WHY you have high BP? For my dad it was different. See, he had high BP at the doctor (as most people do). But when he & my mom tested at home, surprise surprise, it was fine. One of the newest ones his quack of a doctor had him on put him in the hospital 'cos the quack didn't monitor him. Just giving a different perspective is all You do what you need to do for yourself.

Pain causes my blood pressure to be so high. I'm in a lot of constant pain. I've scheduled another appointment with my pain doctor. We've been testing a spine stimulator on me for almost a year now. It simply is not blocking pain. I'm tired of it and want relief.
To go off the meds I am on now would be suicide.
I need to get the pain under control and then maybe the blood pressure will become more manageable.

My visit to the pain doctor was a little disappointing. I was hoping to go to the next step. Instead they reprogrammed my spine stimulator. On a good note he prescribed a new pain medication. I don't know what it is yet, but it's time release. Not oxycodine. I take oxycodone right now. And he upped my gabapentin which is a nerve pain medication. Oh well, next phase. Here we go again. Forgive me if I get grumpy from time to time. Pain gets unbearable sometimes.
Love to you all.

linen Sorry to hear it didn't go that well. Are there other doctors you can see? Have you tried massage, acupuncture, chiropractic?

I wish those things could help. It's complicated ZandraJoi. I have my entire lower back fused. My problem is nerve pain. No amount of your suggestions will help. Thank you for caring. I don't mean to look for sympathy. I just need to talk about it sometimes.

I don't mean to look for sympathy. I just need to talk about it sometimes. No problem I've suffered from chronic pain from endometriosis so I know how debilitating it can be. Talk away! Btw, those didn't help my pain either but thought I'd throw them out there lol

Suggestions always welcomed here.
Sounds like you have your own set of painful issues to deal with. I understand. I used to have a tilted uterus so I understand.

Been gone. I got a new laptop. I won't be back here in the next couple of days unless I can custom my new laptop faster than I anticipate. Chow.
