We live in the country. Many are still wearing masks, but I'm sure compared to the big cities it is relaxing more and more.

Today we went to Pueblo. I had a chemical stress test and a CT scan of my heart. I'm so glad that is over.

It was a stressful day. The staff that worked with me were fabulous. I got 5 warmed blankets in the span of the 4 hours I was there. They spoiled me rotten.
I have an appointment with the cardiologist on May 11 to discuss the results of yesterday results and the echocardiogram I had done a few weeks ago.
It's just smart to have the old ticker checked out when you get to be my age. My hubby will have the same done at his next appointment with his GP in 6 months. Just smart.

Everything is fine. I had my appointment yesterday. Wanted to post the results here so both of you could see it.
Valves are good, heart is sound. I do have a problem with my aorta artery. It is supposed to be 3cm, mine is 4.9cm in one spot and 4.3cm in another spot. Doctor is going to order a CT scan to get a better look. I'm not in danger but the doctor wants to keep an eye on it. I have to go in yearly for updates from now on. He said if it gets to 5.5cm then we have to consider surgery, otherwise it might burst. He said to think of a balloon. As it gets bigger and bigger the rubber gets thinner and thinner. I'm so glad I had it checked.
We discussed my hubby going in and having his ticker checked. His family has a history of heart disease. And surprise, surprise, he is willing to do it. I think maybe my results kind of woke him up to reality, rather than just being stubborn. And he really liked the doctor.
So I have to have a CT scan and come back in 6 weeks for the results and further the game plan.
My blood pressure has been sky high for the past year. We've been working on it but with little positive results. And of course the pain I experience on a daily basis is causing the blood pressure to be high.
This has more than likely, caused the ballooning of the aorta. If my blood pressure is still bad in 6 weeks, more meds. I'm on 7 now, all at maximum dosage.

Yesterday I was going to and from my doctor's appointment and catching up after I got home. Today I needed to do some cooking that took quite a bit of time. I should be back here tomorrow. I need a quiet day to recover from yesterday and today.
I got to thinking after I did the above post. With all this domino affect with my health, I'm going to schedule another appointment with the pain doc. We need to do something else. I can't waste time with this stimulator anymore. My health is at risk.
