o my gawd. thanks for laugh. my husband sitting beside me shaking his head. lol. i am laughing out loud. i just got done talking to my brother and cheering him a bit with some laughter. he is getting a blood transfusion. he has hemolypic anemia. they are thinking it hereditary. they need to know just how he got to know how to treat it

i can relate amberfields. Lots of emotions overflowing here to. My poor dog Tia is devastated that her sister is dead. Devastated.

Anyone in the past have it in your family? He actually went in for a check up from his last surgery that day and this was discovered. What timing huh. Probably saved his life. I dug into medical history for his doctor and found that two Aunts of ours were born with jaundice and had light therapy, along with my eldest child. My Mum has an autoimmune disease and that too, like the jaundice plays a factor into things. My mom is also anemic, but not the kind my brother is. he is still in the hospital and the docs still dont know how to treat him. |

Saying a prayer for your brother and that angels will instruct his doctors on how to treat him. They will come up with a plan. I'm sure of it.

My brother had one blood transfusion and his count dropped to six right after that. He got another one today and also got a bone marrow scrape. He is currently getting rituxan treatments. They last hours. Just heard that after the first two hours, his blood count went up. YAY! I told him I was gonna call him, and my insides are shaking so much. I don't wanna say anything wrong. I don't wanna give him my nervous energy about his health and pass that energy on to him. ugh.

I calmed down enough to talk. I spoke to his wife first. she told me that his body is not able to produce red blood cells and when they are given to him they eaten up right away by his white blood cells. I did talk to him, but not for long, his throat hurts from the treatment he is getting now.
