The US government report on UFOs has landed, but what have movies and TV taught us to believe?
When you look back over movie history, aliens are everywhere.
Most are scary, some are nice. Some are just props for big-budget action movies, but most have a deeper message or perform a kind of social commentary.
All kinds of filmmakers have had a crack, from Orson Welles to Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg and M Night Shyamalan.
But now actual unidentified flying objects — or what the Pentagon calls unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) — are back in the headlines.
The US government has released a long-awaited report revealing that some high-profile UFO sightings cannot be explained.
In light of that, let's examine what pop culture has taught us to think about lights in the sky, flying saucers and aliens, a favourite Hollywood trope.
These films have a lot to say
The spectrum of narratives offered up – what we talk about when we talk about aliens – is wide.
There's xenophobia (District 9, Alien Nation), imperialism (War of the Worlds), environmental destruction (Silent Running, Annihilation) and the debate between faith and science (Signs, Contact).

Very interesting accumulation of info on John McAfee, linen. I just read John McAfee owned a unit in the Florida building that "collapsed". Here is his tweet. link Of course he wouldn't place his hard drive in his condo and then advertise. Unfortunately a lot of lives were lost for this false information. |

McAfee’s Deadman Switch Has Apparently Been Flipped…
The following bread was dropped on 4chan where anon claims offshore servers are currently being set up where data from the deadman switch will be duplicated and will be spread throughout the network, eventually being made public. The files are 31 terabytes in size. The link referenced in the image below seems to be legit. The contract name is called “Epstein”. God bless McAfee. What he has done as an individual has been a monumental effort to erode the the middle layer of the ill that goes on in the world.

Key witness in Assange case admits to lies in indictmentAmajor witness in the United States’ Department of Justice case against Julian Assange has admitted to fabricating key accusations in the indictment against the Wikileaks founder. The witness, who has a documented history with sociopathy and has received several convictions for sexual abuse of minors and wide-ranging financial fraud, made the admission in a newly published interview in Stundin where he also confessed to having continued his crime spree whilst working with the Department of Justice and FBI and receiving a promise of immunity from prosecution. The man in question, Sigurdur Ingi Thordarson, was recruited by US authorities to build a case against Assange after misleading them to believe he was previously a close associate of his. In fact he had volunteered on a limited basis to raise money for Wikileaks in 2010 but was found to have used that opportunity to embezzle more than $50,000 from the organization. Julian Assange was visiting Thordarson’s home country of Iceland around this time due to his work with Icelandic media and members of parliament in preparing the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, a press freedom project that produced a parliamentary resolution supporting whistleblowers and investigative journalism. link
