Sooo I'm in need of some help if anyone out there is willing.... I've been on a spiritual awakening journey for a couple years now and have always been spiritual in nature; I'm aware of my higher self, other realms or planes of existence and engage in some spiritual practices such as meditation and also spirit keeping. (This practice is Wiccan/Pagan and my vessels were provided by someone else, I don't follow a religion or specific belief but I have multiple spirit companions) These are all helpful to me but I'm also stuck - or rather, my ego has me stuck, so I continue to drift aimlessly. Obviously this all takes time and this is just the beginning for me, but I am overwhelmed with signs and synchronicities that are enough to make anyone feel crazy.
It is a lot to take in; angel numbers, intense mood swings and emotions (particularly coinciding with moon phases), physical signs like dead birds and feathers surrounding certain life events. It happens everywhere. Recently though, I was hearing 'As above, so below' in the back of my mind and played it off as nothing for a while because I had no idea what this phrase meant or where it is from. But as it kept happening I decided to google it, only to throw myself through another loop as I stumbled upon each interpretation of this saying. Not only does it resonate deeply, but I can't help but feel this was a nudge in the direction of high magic and maybe even the religious beliefs surrounding it. A concept I was intended to explore and understand somehow - I have no idea and am completely uneducated on all of this, but feel a sudden and intense need to dive into these topics head first. To put it simply, if anyone out there has resources on a topic relative to my experiences, or about/an introduction to high magic, occultism, even just this phrase in general if it holds meaning for you also. Books, videos, talks, websites - anything would be of great help!

Books, videos, talks, websites - anything would be of great help! Hello and welcome heretobehere. Our spiritual journeys tend to be an individual one. As they are all unique never the same entirely. Yes' some aspects are the same but some are not. You're not crazy, just overwhelmed.
Spirit keeping, how you describe it, sounds like you may be a 'walk in'. A soul that has swapped soul for soul of a body to participate what needs to be done by you, your higher self. My thoughts of what you may be experiencing is a combination of a number of experiences all at once. You are awakening is one, your connection with Wicca and Paganism, meditation etc.
What I understand is that it seems that you have opened too many doors and your realities are too many. Your awakening is your soul, your true self/higher self acknowledging itself and who, what and why starts to come to the surface. I was in a similar situation as yourself. I was thirsty for knowledge. Mainly esoteric in nature. I felt anxious, paranoid etc. My senses began to heighten as well as my awareness. I began to see things clearly, not with my eyes, my perceptions on everything.
This is where you'll get pissed off with me. I can point you in the right direction but you have to walk through the door yourself. What I mean by that is, you will guide yourself to the information you require. That is part of the process, the journey. If you are given the information it is not the same outcome that of if you searched for it yourself. Look on youtube. There is a lot of info there on 'awakenings'. While you watch these videos, have a pen and paper and take notes. Words or phrases that catch your attention. Then follow those up. Soon enough your snowball will have grown exponentially with knowledge and information.
I hope this helps you on your journey.

Hi, thanks for the welcome! And thank you for making some sense out of this for me haha, it's a lot to put together at face value and my immediate instinct is to just desperately reach outwards for some sort of explanation. It's as though I'm already aware of this stuff, just unsure of how to make it click. A walk in soul is an interesting concept I haven't heard of actually, but now that I think about it this would make a lot of sense. I think you're right about finding these things out myself and taking notes while I watch, so I'll keep that in mind because it's something I haven't bothered to do before. Thank you for your help, even if it wasn't exactly what I was looking for you answered some important questions for me

You're welcome.
Like I said, it is an individual journey.
All one can say is what their experiences were/are. It is different for another.

We're all here for something different, therefore your truth could differ from mine which could differ from Yoda's and so on, and that's alright. Take what feels true to you and kindly discard anything else without prejudice, no matter what source it comes from. Pay no attention whatsoever to any so-called bonafides or credentials (or lack thereof) from the source and decide on the validity of any message/information for yourself. Beyond that, keep your belief system malleable as new information will always continue to come in that challenges what you think you know. Lastly, be patient with yourself along the way.
Welcome to the board.

heretobehere, I started the same way. opened all the doors at the same time and have tried for years to sort it all out. I don't have much by way of personal time so it's been hard for me to sit down and silence myself long enough to figure it all out. I do my best, I dabble in many things, and the stuff I like, I continue with. I like Tarot. I use my cards, but I don't have the intuition built up to use yet, still use the books, but I do learn from what I ask so it can't be all bad. I used to do dream interpretation too. Haven;t really done my own dreams for awhile but one of my buddies recently mentioned something about dreaming about bombs and I looked it up in my dream book (It's called the Dream book by Betty Bethards) and I blew his mind by telling him he represses a lot of his emotions and he's ready to explode... and he had been. but that's not what we're talking about right now. anyway, get a starting point - what are you interested in at the moment, when you decide, hey, I'd like to explore the Tarot... go to the book store or online, and let them speak to you... by that I mean choose what you are drawn to... that is how I picked out my first deck of tarot - the Mythic Tarot, which I was drawn to. I actually sought out the Tarot because I was interested in past life regression, and in one of the steps, I needed the wheel of fortune... so that snowballed into a collection of Tarot, lots of books on regression and so on. I'm still not on a clear path, there are forks in every road I take, but I decide on a topic I want to know about and learn what I can.
It'll come to you at your own pace. Everyone's journey is different. Good Luck.

Thanks all for the advice & welcome! Message received, I think - less what I was looking for and instead what was needed for me to realise I definitely need to rely on my own intuition a little more. Thanks again guys I wasn't expecting too much of a response so I appreciate it

Thanks again guys I wasn't expecting too much of a response so I appreciate it Yea trusting your own intuition is NOT easy. We're so conditioned to listen to so-called "experts", starting when we're just kids. Matrix-style parenting is thinking that it's the parents job to hammer the child into something that will fit into the society rather than changing it for the better, so we grow up thinking we need to listen to authority (parents and teachers) which translates into new authorities as we become adults (boss, government, corporate masters, "scientists"). It's daunting to step outside of that and trust yourself especially when you know you're going to have some missteps and learn some hard lessons. But that's what life is all about alongside trusting that the universe has got your back.

I think it's important to just take one day at a time. As the saying goes, "all in good time." We all work at our own speed. jojo, take it easy on yourself. It will all come together when it's time to. Mine started to come together when I retired. HereToBeHere, you can't rush things. Those books, videos, etc will make their way into your hands when you are ready for them. Different material works each of us. I found most of my best stuff in thrift shops in the book sections. Also recommendations rang a bell in me. I don't blindly take anyone's advice on what to read or watch.
Most of all, don't compare yourself to anyone else.
