By misusing the word "woke" by normies and msn, it dilutes the true meaning. I prefer the term "awake" anyway because it describes the now. "(A)woke" is past-tense. |

I remember back in my own awakening in 1998, I said to people close to me that I woke up. It is just weird to hear this term used so loosely now. I don't use the term myself unless I am making fun of the woke culture.

So far as the woke movement in the UK goes (probably the same elsewhere) the BLM movement (that turned out to be a cooperative of commies here (defund police; destroy capitalism, their watchwords) drove to undo anything concerning colonialism and slavery, particularly slavery. But "black history month" appears to have been run on a lie. I was unable to find any reference to the Africans' collaboration in acquiring the slaves to sell to the agencies.
