When I first awakened (which was a complete third-eye/crown spontaneous bursting open) I told my wife "you're the direction and I'm the path." I realize now how limiting that is to the both of us but let's run with it. What I think I was moreso describing at the time was how when looking at the interplay between divine feminine and divine masculine, the feminine is the direction and the masculine is the path. I'll explain (all my opinion of course).
If Earth shows us anything, it's what things look like when the balance between two becomes way too heavily slanted toward the masculine. Divine masculine is about power, creation, structure and protection. All wonderful things, but when not balanced by the feminine, becomes destructive. Power to destroy, power to protect your own selfish interest. Creation of structures and things that are in service of that power and domination and are very rigid and inflexible. The divine masculine has the power to put the divine feminine in a cage, and has.
Thing is, putting restraints on the divine feminine, IMO, is part of the divine masculine's job. Stay with me here. The divine feminine is all about love, feeling, intuition, emotion. It's feeling what's going on around us and letting something higher than ourselves guide us, trusting in that something to have our backs and guide us to where will fulfill our highest calling. It's very physically intangible but very powerful. I think about my wife here who is very intuitive (even if she doesn't trust it enough) and very sensitive. I'd never met anyone before who just loves with such ferocity, so much that she can (and has) just worn herself out because of it. That's what I mean when I say it's the divine masculine's job (one of them anyway) to put restraints on the divine feminine, probably better described as "to balance."
What we've been missing is that divine feminine's fierce and undying love for all things and all beings being able to come through. That's what has been needed to try to balance the things while the overbearing masculine needs to recognize the importance of that. That fierce love is the direction. It's the divine feminine pointing and saying "we need to go that way." The masculine needs to trust the feminine is pointing it in the right direction even though there's no tangible, physical proof of that being the right direction. The masculine needs to trust the feminine's direction because it's the masculine's job to forge the path toward it, the masculine being about creation and structure. Part of that structure includes creating a playground (if you will) for the divine feminine to feel safe and secure in blasting it's love to all corners of the universe without burning itself out. That playground would be the masculine's creation, something it can take pride in, while having been at the feminine's direction, something it can take pride in... with the both enjoying it together. That's the ideal of course. What's your take on the interplay of the energies? I'm curious to hear the wisdom of others here, thanks!

Alchemy of St. Germain is best how I understand this. A dream lead me to researching it.
The twin (rays) flame are about the spirit’s masculine and feminine counterpart within the white fire body of God. Predominately the male (intellect) aspect starts out, and then the female (emotions) qualities submerge. The threefold flame is the divine spark or the Christ flame. This is the soul’s point of contact with God. In the Upanishads, it is called the Atman; which allows one to be one with the universe, yet maintain your own identity in order to gain esoteric knowledge in the flesh. The threefold flame is located in the hidden chamber of the heart. It has three plumes that embody the three primary attributes of God. On the left is the living color blue breathing power and corresponding to the father. In the center is the living color yellow, which corresponds to wisdom and to the son. On the right is the living color of pink corresponding to love, the Mother (Holy Spirit) aspect of God. This is “The Holy Family of existence.” When one has reached this level of awareness, they are at liberty to use the gift as they chose. One may chose to remain in the white fire core of being (the casual body, where your spirit rest) and perform in the cosmic spheres unfolding Gods plan or one may use the twin rays from the one flame which doubles the power of use. If one chooses to work with the one flame of God, the power is tripled. The flame of God is a grand pulsating flame that flows everywhere. Unfortunately it is usually distorted in the physical realm. That is why man can activate the twin flames when he ascends. This ascent is simply an expression of the union of the soul (the Christ self) with the spirit of the “I AM presence”, the God Flame, your true and pure identity.
