A Little About God and Satan There is a more elemental way of describing this. One which leaves out any need for personalities. Consider the universes, all of them, the multitude of spiritual (subtle) and the physical too. Visualize them all with the highest degree of "oneness" as being the principle attribute of the very highest level. Now visualize the physical, in this case our Earth as the expression furthermost from that ideal. All of these no matter where on the scale they may be are sorted into strict levels of activity. The oneness that was mentioned may also be thought of as being the most unified or least divided. Then it follows that here on Earth we find the least oneness and the highest degree of separation. Now the good part. Good and evil are merely expressions of these. Essential goodness is the same as elemental oneness. Essential evil is the same as the highest degree of separation. How do these find expression? Well we humans think in terms of our minds. We tend to personalize such philosophical matters. In this case we refer to the highest degree of oneness as being embodied in God. The highest degree of separation then is embodied in Satan. This is all it is. Through religions we find these ideas dressed up in ways that will appeal to the proponents of any of those. This, again, is the way the human mind works. We are comfortable doing this. This is the great value of religions. The great truths they express are stepped down and colored in ways that we can easily understand. There is another idea here. God vs Satan. Satan serves at the pleasure of God. He has only that power which is allowed him. He does not compete with God on any high level but only on the lower levels where we all are. We thus seem to believe that Satan has more power than he really does. If we were to raise ourselves up higher into the spiritual worlds at a certain point we would find ourselves above the realms where Satan had any influence at all. Indeed neither Satan nor any other dark force has access to these lands of glory. There is one more thing that may be of interest here. It is regarding time. In the lower realms time is the familiar measure of events. But as we ascend higher and higher we will find that time slows. This is because time is not a principle but an effect of matter. The more dense the matter the faster time flows. As we raise up into the higher spiritual worlds (dimensions, universes, planes) we find that the matter of those planes, the spiritual matter (not physical matter) is less and less substantial. So... time, when compared to here on Earth slows. At the very highest level where the great creative force (God) is time has slowed to a stop. This plane is truly timeless. Now here is the interesting part. We are often presented with the question which is: If we have free will how can it be that God already knows how we will choose? The answer is simple. We are using our free will here in the lowest plane where time is fast. God, though, is on the timeless plane. From God's perspective there is no time at all. God is timeless. For God there is only the present. This is the reason why it is sometimes reported that God simple "is". "Before Abraham was, I am" is another quote which speaks of this. So as we, immersed in the flow of time are busy making our decisions in life, God sees past, present and future as "now". This is why God knows all. The only difficulty in accepting this is caused by our human minds which are also bound by time. Our rational minds cannot fully comprehend timelessness because they are necessarily designed to be used in the lower planes. Should we be wary of Satan? Yes. Should we fear him? No. Evil feeds on fear. Be fearless and be free.

So, what you say about satan serving god and only has the power which is allowed him makes perfect sense. However the fact that god hired someone to represent evil in this realm makes no sense. What is the point of that? I suspect this is just another analagy to describe someone's picture of reality, when in fact there is no god or satan determining our choices, tempting us or saving us. Each of us is in this realm experiencing being human on planet earth for our own reasons that have nothing to do with either good or evil. When we divide ourselves to that point we are just playing the blame game. We all have the ability to change our circumstances by changing the way we think about our interactions and experiences in this world. We are not victims non-corporeal entities unless that's what we choose. Our consciousness does not reside in our brains, which is the lie that is given us to make us small, lowly humans. None of us are, but there is a purpose to our forgetfulness. If we knew everything we would have a completely different, probably boring experience. |

I never thought of the concept of where exactly God was in the hierarchy of satan. But you are right, now that I think of it. There is no contest. He is unleashed for a "season," before he is put in his place. Didn't you once say when the battle is fought and God has won he will return to the right hand of God? How can that be? I get forgiveness and all of that, but to be God's favorite again? Doesn't seem right.
Anywho, on with this post.
So regarding time. Are you saying in God's realm time is one, but here on our plane we have the three separate, past, present and future? I get so sick of people who 'correct' me and tell me ~~using a hollowed out voice~~ time is one. Because to me, on this plane, it is not. I have memories of "past" lives. Different time, different dress, different technologies, focus, jobs, different in every way to this life and to each lifetime that I remember.
So, ~~evil grin~~ can you tell us about the battles that were fought in the heavens? Were there more than one? What was the purposes of such battles. Also, I've heard there are still battles being fought between heavenly beings still to this day. Is that true? Is it the same battles, different times.
And lastly, if God is so powerful, why are there battles?
Don't know if you can answer these questions. I know you are bound by certain ethics.

My interpretation is that Satan is used to help forge humanity. All life forms that have and do evolve do so by enduring severe hardships within their environment before they begin to evolve into what is an adaptation of their being that can withstand the harsh conditions or they form new abilities to overcome the conditions. In short, the evil helps us by testing us. If there is no adversity, we don't become resilient. So we too will create for ourselves abilities/adaptations to our environment.

There is much more involved story here. Rather I will say there are two stories in one. First is the concept of "God". There are really more than one after all. There are many. But forget all that for a moment and think of the Great Creative Force which, using high spiritual matter, formed the lower heavens and the physical plane. Before the big bang the higher spiritual heavens did exist. Indeed the lower planes and the physical were made from , sourced, from high spiritual matter. Visualize an electrical transformer that steps down high voltage to low. This story is best framed within the worlds of esoteria.
There is another. In the beginning there was hydrogen which, because of the lower attractive force (gravity) collected into great masses. As it's mass increased this force increased resulting in the release of another which is best termed as being "heat" (caused by friction... which is really nothing but hydrogen atoms being moved closer against their "will". After a time the heat increased to the point where a critical mass was achieved. Atomic structure now changed. Atoms of hydrogen were forced together resulting in two things. First they joined former heavier elements. Second their rates of vibration (excitement) were increased resulting in something new that we see still in our own sun. Radiations. Beams of energy of all types but at the same time the heavier elements were formed for the first time. At this point in history there was yet no biological life anywhere in the universe. But there was and still is, the Great Source that we call God or "the Father", the Creator. These names are conveniences required by our very limited ability to comprehend.
Much later we find that many of those stars gave birth to planets. Now there existed solar systems. Yet later biological life emerged. As this new idea evolved and grew from simple to complex again the laws of attraction compelled the creation of forms of expression each more complex than the preceding. After a very long time the higher came to dominate the lower. Now in the physical and lower spiritual we find for the first time a corollary to the "Father". As we advance now we find that on some worlds these intelligent forms grew to the point were they became creators too. But these made things in "their own images". And they left their worlds and traveled far.
The Great creative force expresses by expanding part of it's "body" resulting in the lower heavens and the physical universe. This process continues to this day. But in the lower physical worlds we see the same processes but this time lower matter is being transformed. Now comes the part about the multitude of gods.
These "men" (they did and still do have human souls) traveled about the galaxy colonizing suitable worlds, setting up shop so to speak. They looked for worlds that already had biological forms that would be of use to them. Here on Earth were the apes and other proto human forms which resulted from the planets natural evolutionary forces. These others, the offworlders, saw this and decided to stay. They set up in the high mountains or in other isloated locales. They waited and watched. They had for a purpose the integration of their own with the Earth's animal forms. The desired end would be quickening. Suddenly on the Earth intelligent human beings would appear in parallel with the earlier. Now for the most interesting part.
As time progressed two distinct races of men lived on the Earth. The first were the descendants of the offworlders. The second was those who were a mixture of the first and the Earth forms. There were laws, rules for behaviour. The two were not to interbreed. It was not yet time. But some of the higher rebelled, defying their lords. These left the fold and went into the wilds. To them the "daughters of men" were seen to be attractive. They "took them to wife". But these realized that the two species, the older more advanced and those that were yet of the Earth could not continue to compete. The Earth's "men" were to be replaced. But they all looked very similar. How to insure this was done quickly? The wise among them instituted a test, a method of indicating the difference between the Earth's evolutionaryily produced "men" and the descendents of the off worlders. This was the true origin of the practice of male circumcision. It was meant to be a test, a way for any female to know what sort of male they were about to mate with. It was forbidden them to join with an uncircumcised male. And the new family of men that resulted? In time men looked back and called these "the chosen people".
But what of the lower gods? In the days of the rebellion those who defied authority fought with their kin on the Earth and in the neighborhood of the Earth. This was long remembered as being "a war in heaven". And on one side those who remained loyal to the original cause came to be called gods. There were many of these. And those who came to Earth to live here permanently beginning families of their own? They were "the children of god".
Now in this little story we find a Great creative force, the "father" of all and we find spacefaring humans who colonized. These were later called "gods" by the new families of men who now dominated the Earth.
Now fast forward. The "chosen" traveled the world... teaching. Into suitable lands they went. Some time later one of these, the lands between the rivers as we call it, became home to them. Those were wet and green then, not dry as they are now. They built the first of the great cities. To these men of the Earth came, attracted by the promise of comforts. In these the gods taught the men. They built great learning centers in which the skills of Earth living would be given freely so that the Earth's men, now internixed with the descendants of the off worlders of before would prosper.
These centers of learning flourished in seven parts of the Earth, each on a different continent. After a time the differentials in men became less. It was decided to install the more evolved "chosen few" in the centers. They would now take over the teaching duties. This, too, was a part of the original plan. And it was done. But men living, as we are, in the lower realms, are easy prey to the separative forces which "rule" the lower heavens and the planets. They forgot their duties as teachers. They forgot the original purpose. Now they began celebrating themselves. The centers of learning became centers of worship and the teachers became priests. In these the memories of those "gods of old" were revered. No longer did people come to the temples to learn. Now they came in obedience to priestly edicts. From this time on our planet was one upon which men worshiped "gods". These times are remembered now. They were the original origins of Earthly religions. This is a true story. Consider the universality of the concept of gods and temples around the world. This is the reason for it all.
Now in the pre Biblical times the original "gods", those who did not rebel against authority long before, were to remain active in the world. But they also remained hidden. It was these who guided men. Consider now that we have tales of peoples who worshiped a multitude of gods and another group who taught the "one true God" (the Great creative force" of antiquity.
This little story is not meant to fully answer all the nuances of the religious practices that we see today. It merely gives a rough outline of events which led up to their inceptions. And the offworlders? What of them? Are they still around? If so are they still engaged in teaching and improving the human species? Yes. They are.
In the world of today we are pretty sure that there are others who have greater scientific capabilities then we do. They have learned to travel faster than light. They have vessels that seem to warp gravity. These are the descendants of those who came to this world long before. It is they who are still actively engaged in the evolution of our species. Have were heard of "alien abductions"? This is one method they use to help the descendants of those who rebelled long before to better their physical forms.
Long before spacefaring human beings of an advanced order came to this planet. They began interacting with the early pre human forms of the planet. This is the reason we find in our studies of history that modern man appeared "suddenly" without any discernible reason while at the same time earlier species just as suddenly disappeared. It was their activities too and their own history which gave rise to the ideas of gods. We've had religions ever since.
But this is only a story of the physical world. There is much more. The Earth also has the signature of the Great creative force. The Earth has a series of heavens filled with the spirits of human beings who cycle and recycle, incarnating with the same intent... to advance. Indeed the original gods themselves were products of this very same spiritual evolutionary process.
The ideas expressed above are too much for many. They are all true nonetheless.
Where will we all go next... I wonder.
