My understanding is even if you have been wronged by someone in any regard, you can forgive, continue to love them and to move on without carrying the karmic baggage with you during this life and any other.

Your interpretation is pretty spot on in my opinion and pretty much lays out my position as well.
I think of unconditional love in a situation such as two lovers that truly love each other. Even if they were to break up after many years of being together, going through struggle and negative experiences but still loving and caring about each other. Still expressing love and care, forgiveness, and not holding feelings of judgement or letting ego cloud your perception towards each other.
It can be described in so many words, situations, scenarios, examples. It is different for everyone but I think the universal theme is truly forgiveness, continued love, and seeing through ego/physical body/the moment and seeing the connection between you both.

Yes, this type of love is just not about physical love between lovers, but love generally. Between friends, family members, work colleges strangers and everyone. This is universal love, unconditional love. |
