We Welcome you to the world of Channeling
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am going to get straight to the heart of what this Sub-Board is for. Channeling is the ability to enter into an altered state of consciousness and connect to higher realms of wisdom. There are many methods and techniques to channeling and it can be used for a variety of purposes. Whether that be Channeling higher dimensional beings that can bring forth wisdom (Bashar, Kryon, Seth Material, Lee Carol etc) or contacting your higher self or spirit guides, there are many valuable uses and skills to the art of channeling. Anyone can channel and open up to spirit, though only few consciously choose (or chose before incarnating) to undertake the responsibility. It is a responsibility because it requires a self awareness of actions and right use of will, along with a moral compass pointing towards service to others and the willing intention to help and heal others through channeling. We will get into this later in the thread as well.
There are many forms and techniques of Channeling as previously stated, however, they usually stem from a few distinctions or definitions. People will then usually develop a personal technique or style of honing in their own choice/state of channeling and who they connect to and access.
The old school terms were considered Psychic and Medium. Psychic being someone considered possessing "special abilities" or talents. These types of people certainly do exist, but it is worth noting here that anyone can develop their "psychic senses" and work on their own inner skills and talents. Some people just come into the world more naturally open and gifted with these skills, sometimes they fade, sometimes they don't and they can be developed and worked on further. The term medium was often used to describe someone that could communicate with "the dead". Regardless of your religious beliefs, we are attempting to come at this from a neutral stance point of view and are merely sharing personal research after over 9 years of studying the subject. The dead, aren't really dead as our "soul" never truly dies. Think of the soul or consciousness as energy. Energy can't "die" or be destroyed, only moved around. Basically the body exists within the soul/consciousness and then passes away when no longer needed or succumb to other means of passing away. There is a lot more to this and this is merely simplified for this thread. We have a lot more topics and threads on this subject and related subjects all over the forums, and you are more than welcome to create a new one as well or ask questions. Our body is a physical carrier for consciousness in this life time and should be seen as a temple and something to be respected. These are all factors someone has to take into consideration when pursuing the art of opening to Channel.
So we have the well known terms Psychic and Medium and their described meaning in the paragraph above. Here are some newer terms (even though channeling and inner work and healing is an ancient tradition) that help describe states of channeling.
First I want to start with some sub (not sub as in lesser than, or "worse" or any other ego based concepts) forms of channeling. These include conscious expression and "being in the moment" or in the zone. Such as when one is singing and just totally feel the energy and get goose bumps etc. This is channeling your higher self or your higher creative expression in a sense. It is a gorgeous feeling and you feel very alive. This can be many different experiences or examples and changes person to person. Whether it be singing, expressing through art, dancing, talking, playing video games etc and really enjoying each moment, it is channeling a higher form of joy and consciousness, to put it simply. There is tons of research and science done on these ideas and philosophies and quite a few are posted around here but you can also research yourself into anything said here and confirm for yourself. As we always like to say, take what resonates, and leave the rest. Resonating meaning, it "feels" right to you and something that does not scare you or instill fear. It is always good to note that change and the unknown can bring fear and uncertainty but we ultimately can learn and grow through it. Being a victim and suffering is optional. We can truly learn and grow from every experience we face even if it is new ideas or concepts such as some discussed in this thread.
Another form of channeling is commonly referred to as Intuitive Writing. This is where you bring forth higher vibrational ideas through your expression by writing onto a pen and paper or even typing on a keyboard or any other avenue to express communication in this reality. Many spiritual and self help books have been written in this capacity and it can be a very worthwhile tool to develop and explore. It does not have to be strictly spiritual based and can be used for higher expressions of your true self, whatever form that may take.
These are just a few examples of some other forms of "channeling" and ones we consciously participate in without even realizing. We truly are creators because we are all shards of source itself and thus can ultimately shape the reality we experience around us by shaping the thoughts we form and the ideas we manifest. So while it is hard to make a full list of what all channeling encompasses, we hope with this thread we can paint a picture of what it entails and what the messages and channelings posted on this board are stemming from. Above are some basics so far of what channeling encompasses. In the following paragraph we are going to explore some main avenues of Channeling that some choose to explore and participate in. Later in the thread we will include books and good sources and avenues for further exploration of opening to channel. We will also include some videos at the bottom giving visual examples of people acting as a channel or "medium" to higher dimensions of consciousness and wisdom. Main forms of Channeling that people base technique and style off of or "wake up" into
Trance Channeling
One of the most notable souls that went into a trance state to help bring forth healing techniques for others was Edgar Cayce. One of my personal favorites and a true service to other individual that helped heal many, many people. There are many books and works on him, here is a good overview on who Edgar Cayce is. By trance channel we mean a person who is able to set their conscious self aside in order to allow another being, a non-physical or spirit being, to speak through their body. The person who does this is the channel. The being who does the speaking is usually referred to as an entity by our group but others may call them spirit guides. The term medium could be used to describe a "channel". However, the term "medium" is usually associated with contacting recently departed persons with contact sought by relatives or friends. Channels as we use the term usually will allow more highly evolved beings and spirit teachers to come through and speak, although channels are capable of bringing through personalities who have recently died in the traditional sense of the term medium. So, the entities or spirit teachers who speak through channels are sought for the information and lessons they can give on the nature of reality and self growth rather than contact with lost loved ones. Conscious Channeling
"My guides have explained to me that due to the thinning of the veil between the Earth plane and other dimensions, it is no longer necessary for most people to be in a deep trance in order to allow channeling to occur. Why would this be? They explain that many people who are present on the Earth plane at this time have a vibrational rate that is already high enough to allow an entity to join with them without inducing a deep trance state. Opening to Channel
There are many books, guides, audio books, E-books, online articles, etc on how to channel and open to channel and what it is. If you truly are interested in channeling, I highly suggest you research it on your own and work on inner work and healing any past traumas and potential pains that may surface. There are many aspects and facets to channeling and while we don't need to make anything more complicated than we need to, channeling can be a undertaking that requires dedication and time and potential amounts of inner healing and work.
Here are some brief definitions of opening to channel and also some great books on the subject that can be a step in the right direction. Channeling is a means of communicating with any consciousness that is not in human form by allowing that consciousness to express itself through the channel (or channeler).
Written Examples of Channeling
Written or transcribed Channeling can be beneficial in regards to not having to watch or listen to a audio/spoken channeled message. There are many trusted Channelers in the community that share personal channelings and higher dimensional ideas and happenings in regards to our planet and many other avenues of discussion. When first getting into reading channelings, it is important to practice discernment.
Discernment is being able to use your perception to discern the information and if it is beneficial or not for your own being. Many channeled messages may conflict with preconceived notions and belief systems and structures. This is perfectly fine. If something bothers you or you do not like what you read or hear, simply discard it and don't hold onto it. Holding onto it and creating anger out of it causes much unneeded stress within your body. This is why it is best to learn from what resonates, and discard what doesn't. Same can apply to real life as well with people and situations. It is up to us the kind of people and situations we surround ourselves with and if we are unhappy, we can make conscious changes to alter our immediate reality.

You look in the mirror and see a four-dimensional creature with skin and a body, and a name you can say out loud. But you have no concept of whom you're looking at. Each of you is a group. Although this sounds odd, you are already acknowledging this when you say you have a higher part of you, and many of you design your lives to take advantage of those higher parts. But you still see and feel the separation. There is much of you that desires to be part of the other part, but you create the separation naturally within your realty, instead of seeing yourself as part of the great I AM.
The great prophets walked the earth as Humans. You saw them as different, however...unusual, sacred, divine, and powerful. They looked just like you - all of you. So what is it that made them different? I will tell you: These Humans were able to peel the duality away and create a miracle. They didn't participate in the separation of Human-Self and Higher-Self. Many followed these special ones because they saw joy in their lives; they saw the power. So you have to ask yourselves, what is the difference between an ordinary Human and the masters who were worshiped - whose lives were known to many, and still are through your history?
This is where it gets good. When the masters walked the earth with a lessened (lighter) duality, they did so to be able to see the bigger picture. They were not affected as you are. They had less darkness where they walked, and they could see more clearly. When you were born on this planet, a strong duality was in place. For the masters, it was spiritually lighter, and that made them "different." That's what you saw that was so abnormal. The prophets and masters of old were able to integrate the group!
Dear ones, you sit in an energy that we predicted twelve years ago. It's an energy that is going to become far more stable than it has been, but we'll get to that in a moment. What we want to tell you is this: The attributes of the masters are upon you. What is it all about, you ask? It is about a changing humanity and a changing spirituality. The veil is being slightly lifted! It is being lifted so that you can see dimly through it the things you never could see before. Some have asked, "Could this really be? Can I really change my life?" The answer is yes.

This is only one example of a channeled written message but we figure you understand and can discern now and know when to leave information be or when to intake information and create healing within yourself. We can all heal and grow and it is our conscious choice. No one can hold our hand and force us to heal. Though, we can ask for help to heal, it is our choice and our doing that heals our inner wounds and trauma.
