It is only difficult if you are not open to your own understanding of oneself. You can know yourself as much as you will allow. Knowing you own abilities if you have any, your strengths and weaknesses, joys and dislikes. Or knowing that you are a straight talker or beat around the bush. The list is endless. When you realise we are connected to everything that is natural in the universe via energy and that we have many locked up characteristics and talents, then we begin to know ourselves.

........................... This is true but it can take killing a few sacred cows to get anywhere. As for strengths and weaknesses one has to know these in context. There are times when each becomes the opposite. E.g. a self-willed person may be weak in committees but that same thing becomes a strength when organising something to do with business. Yes, we start to know ourselves the moment we start asking questions about things we've hitherto taken for granted about our actions, desires, attitudes - providing we recognise the bias of conclusione we reach.
