barsoom43 barsoom43 1 hour ago I learned over 50 years ago that a 5 year old Saigon shoeshine boy can kill you with a grenade just as fast as a 20 year old NVA with an AK.. What's a 13 year old doing with a gun at 3am? Nothing but trouble.
How does the cop live with himself?
Reasonable force? He may have been armed prior to the cop's intervention, but the cop still shoots Adam after he throws his gun or something behind the fence. To me, Adam was unarmed raising his hands in compliance. The cop used excessive force, resulting in Adams death. Deplorable.

I really don't agree Yoda. That kid had a gun in his hand when he first started to run and the cop knew it, I believe. That's just my opinion. A loaded gun is a loaded gun no matter who is holding it.

What I saw was the kid ditch something behind the fence. No longer armed. Raises his hands in submission, cop shoots. Reasonable force was not taken. I know the degrees of reasonable force from military and martial arts experience. I say he could of been tasered instead of shot fatally.
We have our own opinions.

The kid raised his hands at the same instant the policeman shot. The policemen were called to the scene because of shots fired. I counted 9 shots. Look at Shotspotter 1 Before OIS (officer involved shooting). So in my opinion the cop had a reason to be on hyper alert. link

Hyper alert yes, but position of hands were going up and not in a 'fire a pistol' stance IMO. If the kid was a threat, why didn't he shoot at the cop to give the cop reason to shoot at the kid. Still, excessive force. Cop could of incapacitated the kid by shooting him in the arm or leg. But he shoot him from less than 30 feet away centre mass = kill shot. So the kid can't give his side of the story on what happened.
Cops are too trigger happy these days.

Allegedly, members of the Latin Kings had been shooting at cars all night, and Officer Stillman was responding to the call. The gang members also allegedly branded Toledo with a tattoo and gave him a gun he is believed to have had when Stillman shot him in the chest on March 21st, 2021. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot strongly implied that Toledo had become involved with the gang. link

I looked at the video of Toledo again.
I saw no gun on the ground where Toledo fell, so that's where's the gun? It would have fallen too near his feet or legs. Also, the cop doesn't seem to care that he could harm him. There is no gun on him or around him. Yeah, I don't disagree that he was being a gangland thug and shooting at cars and stuff. My argument is that I saw that Toledo was unarmed. The cop over reacted.
The still footage shows a gun, but where is it afterwards?

First pic you can see Toledo to the left with officer working on him.

That's right. This looks like the opposite side of the fence where there was a gap, where he tossed the gun to where it is shown in the photo provided. So he was unarmed at the time of the shooting. Yes, once again, pretence, he did have a gun on him but did not have it in his possession to warrant a lethal shot.
Look at the fence on the left pic, look at the fence on the right. Same fence different side. Gun got tossed there by gang banger. If he he ain't touching it he is not in possession. So the cop used excessive force.
