Incredible footage shows Suez Canal chaos as $12.57 billion of goods stranded
As the frantic operation to dislodge a ship from the Suez Canal hits a crucial stage, shocking footage shows the scale of the chaos.
Incredible aerial footage shows 369 vessels — carrying up to $12.57 billion worth of goods — waiting to pass through the Suez Canal in a maritime traffic jam.
Pressure is mounting on Egypt to dislodge a massive container ship which has blocked the crucial trade route, as ships containing products ranging from Ikea furnishings to tens of thousands of livestock wait nervously to pass through.
The Panama-flagged ship, Ever Given, veered off its course in a single-lane stretch of the canal during a sandstorm on Tuesday.
Now, more than 360 vessels have been stranded in the Mediterranean to the north and in the Red Sea at the other end as well as in holding zones.
Striking footage posted by Daily News Egypt shows the colossal scale of the jam — as dozens of container ships, bulk carriers, oil tankers and liquefied natural gas (LNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vessels wait to pass through.
How hard is it to go the long way around, South Africa? Or is that not an option? The time it takes to "go the long way home" (Super Tramp reference), the captains sitting in their ships would still be fingering their belly buttons for entertainment while the crystal meth captain of the Ever Giver pulls his ship and finger out of his arse and clear the blockage. Tanker MV Ever Given partially refloated after blocking Suez Canal
The giant container ship blocking the Suez Canal has reportedly been refloated a week after it veered off course, causing huge disruption to trade.
The massive tanker blocking the Suez Canal has been refloated.
Suez Canal Authority chairman Osama said Monday that tugs dislodged the bow of the ship from the eastern bank of the canal, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“We are not finished yet, but it has moved,” he said.
It’s believed the ship has moved about 22 metres and tugboats are expected to continue assisting the ship to ensure it can continue moving up the canal.
It’s unclear how long it will take the re-open the waterway to traffic.
In a tweet, Inchcape Shipping said the MV Ever Given was successfully refloated at 4.30am (local time).
“She is being secured at the moment. More information about next steps will follow once they are known,” the post said.
Maritime traffic tracking sites Vesselfinder and myshiptracking also showed the stern of the boat had moved away from the canal’s western bank.
People can be heard saying “Allahu Akbar” (God is most great) and celebrating the achievement in footage posted on Twitter. Other footage showed the captain of a nearby ship giving a thumbs up as the Ever Given finally started moving.
However, The Citizen Lab senior researcher John Scott-Railton tweeted an image that shows most of the vessel is still not in the navigation channel.
Well, that was interesting. The ship captain of Ever Given (a chance to go to rehab) finally pulled his finger out, yay.

This boat is lodged in the same spot the Moses parted the red sea, so I have read. Also, stock on toilet paper warns the television. Also heard that it was a giant sand storm that got the boat in this position. Also, if any one ever watched the show Dexter (highly recommend) his character was found as a child in an evergreen shipping container with a pool of blood around him from dead bodies that others killed.

So there was a reason for the ship and crew to being so retarded. The Captain a crew had tactical assault weapons in their face and the cabal lost circa $57,600,000,000 over the six days it was stranded.

I chose a video because you will see numerous shots. Evergreen is the name of the company that has many such ships. The name of this one particular one is Ever Given.
