In Aus, more than a decade ago we had the same thing. Immigrants were getting jobs, assisted accommodation, $10-15K, drivers license and a big screen tv. WTF! when the homeless are still starving and no roof. Seriously fucked up shit. What about looking after our already impoverished.

Yes, we did. Not too sure of the policies in place now, but we did have a similar package back then.

I have no problem with people wanting to live here. But you obey our laws, speak English, pay taxes. I always say I believe in Equal not MORE Rights.

It is free loaders and the ones who take advantage of a giving system that is annoying. Also the fact that they are being better taken care of rather than those born in the country.
Like you said, I don't mind if immigrants come and contribute and not just sponge.

I read somewhere the immigrants are in school learning, while our own children are failing in remote school teachings.
