linen I never heard of that sign for help. lucky1 Are you recovering now from it? I have a sister in law down in TX too & they lost power as well. She lost her succulents. We're doing OK......we live out on the island on the water and my wife loves to garden and of course around here its all tropical plants and pretty much every thing is dead. Our Mexican fan palms look like hell but they'll make it....the pony palms are toast as are what's gotta be 50 hibiscus plants ....we even had a bunch of Barbados Cherries in the yard and they look brown and burned up...don't know if they will come back or not. I'm already figuring $$$ to get the yard back to where it was...plus a bunch of labor!

I'm glad you made it okay Lucky. Gawd what a mess you had, all you Texans. I tried to find a death count because I know many unfortunate people must have died having no alternative for power/heat. All I could find was one county had 300 carbon monoxide ?what? deaths or ?were treated for? The article didn't say.
