It should surprise no one that the HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, an entity started by nefarious actors to make trading opium and washing the money from its trade easier after the Opium Wars were concluded, is at present a business which launders the money of drug cartels, is crucial in the operation of tax havens and loophole surfing, panders to the forces that destroy the planet, works against the interests of the common people and has all the moral fortitude of a slasher flick villain, with far less personality.
