Excuse the mish mash title, but it's everything I'm going to touch on in this thread.
I'm going to jump right into the rabbit hole so let's get started.
We currently live in a third density reality. A third dimension. A dimension is a state of consciousness. Since we can deduce that consciousness is energy, we can deduce that our current bodies are attuned to the frequency vibration of third density.
Here's some over views of various consciousness levels.
First dimension is minerals. It's still in a 3-D perspective but is limited to mineral consciousness.
Second dimension is animal consciousness. Awareness of point and line. The plant kingdom and lower animal kingdom resonates to this level. These beings are only conscious of their species' identity and their need for feeding, fighting, and procreation. Thus, they literally live in the moment (which is why dogs are so happy)
The third dimension of space. Awareness of point, line, width and breadth, height and volume. Human beings and the higher animal kingdom resonates to this level. Awareness of oneself as a separate and unique individual – very little awareness of the interconnectedness of beings and actions. The third dimension is locked in a time/space and cause/effect paradigm through the individual human souls. As humans we have the ability to remember the past and the future while remaining aware of the present. However, while using only our third dimensional consciousness much of our past remains forgotten in our unconscious mind and we usually feel a sense of separation from the whole, a feeling of limitation in achieving our desires, and a need to work hard to accomplish our goals.
Fourth dimension of space. Awareness of point, line, width and breadth, height, volume and time. The fourth dimension is also known as the astral plane. The primary consciousness of this dimension is in the astral body, which is also known as the "higher human". The astral body is of a higher vibration than the physical body and is in a form that is known as etheric. The 4th D is the realm of the unconscious mind. Our fourth dimensional astral bodies possess advanced dreaming, imagination, psychic ability, intuition, magic, and creativity. As we expand our mind to be conscious of our unconscious mind, we can experience more and more of these qualities while in our physical form. At this level, there is the beginning awareness of the Universal Law of One or Unity Consciousness: whatever affects one of us affects of all of us. Indigos carry this awareness, which is the key to multi-dimensionality, and it leads them to be warriors for causes that heal the Earth. Realisation and practice that no one is greater than the other and that group consciousness is the path to the future. We must all cooperate for the good of all to create a better Earth.

This alone could be a topic in itself but I'd like to cram more into this. So in the law of one it goes into harvests, and the different dimensions etc.
Every 25,000+ years or so, planets re-align and offer the inhabitants a chance to ascend into higher dimensional reality or lower dimensional reality depending on your karmic outtake and your spiritual progression etc.
I am trying to be careful with my words here because this is a subject that can be hard to accurately describe.
If you have studied the law of one, Ra talks about dimensional shifts that have happened on earth. One was with lemuria and another was Atlantis.
Now the reason I added the dimensions at the start of this is because it's important to know the difference.
Here's where karma, service to self, service to others, and the rest of my title come in.
I'm sure many of you are familiar with karma. The cause and effect. You get what you receive. Well this is all because we are all one.
We are actually God experiencing himself. We are awareness. Because we are in the third dimensional reality we are intelligent life forms self realizing what they truly are.
So with that in mind, since we are all one, the law of karma makes sense. We live in a reality where we have a veil of amnesia. We are disconnected from our higher selves, our true being, our true soul. We seem disconnected and lost but we truly are powerful beings.
Since we live in a third dimensional reality, we have the illusion of separation. You appear separate from me, but we are truly one and the same source.
Here is where it gets interesting. If you're familiar with the Mayans, they kept track of many many cycles that the earth, and galaxy underwent. Many are familiar with their 2012 calendar predicting the age of golden consciousness and how we are entering that new age.
According to the law of one, after a certain amount of time (25,000+ years or so) there is a harvest. Now this is where service to self and service to others comes in.
We incarnate to literally learn to love and become one. Some choose not to love, or don't choose light. Which is fine because we have the law of free will.
If you choose the pecking order, yourself over others, manipulation, greed, everything unsavory that gets you ahead, that is service to self.
If you love others, and be a general good person like most people are, that's called service to others.
Now, when a shift occurs, karmic debt needs to be paid off. Since the law of karma dictates that energy paid is energy owed, souls that chose service to self must receive their negative karma they have dished out onto others (manipulation, rape, death, everything negative)
And thus, they enter one of three time lines. I don't want to go to into this because I'm already making this pretty long and I wanted to keep it simple but basically they will experience the destruction that they have dished out to others.
If you are service to others, and are atleast 51% service to others, and a shift occurs, you enter a new dimensional reality of living and awareness.
I'm not doing this topic justice and almost am tempted to rewrite this as I feel I typed this up sloppy but I hope I'm giving a good basic gist of what the law of one is touching on and what naturally happens to any planet that undergoes shifts.
I created this topic in mind after watching a personal favorite show of mine called wisdom teachings with David Wilcock. This information is all from season 20 of his show and all of this goes back to the law of one teachings which I'll link below.
I'm hoping to foster a discussion on these ideas. I'm not presenting anything here as fact, rather I want an open discussion of what these things could mean and what your opinions are. This is fascinating information that I feel we can all benefit from and share.
