r/news mods ban and censor literally everyone in a thread about white farmers’ land being seized. Guy who posted it was banned for racism
Welp, after fighting valiantly, the linked thread is currently succumbing to its wounds as all comments are being deleted by mods and it is locked for a second and final time. If you missed it, this thread about South Africa seizing white-owned farms from /r/news was first locked right after it was put up without explanation with only 9 comments having been made. But they should have just removed it entirely, for it quickly rose to #1 with 10k upvotes despite the lock.
Then a bold and independent mod unlocked it, and within a couple of hours 1000 comments were submitted, and it was like a breath of fresh air reading through them as 100% of them were critical of the idea of a nation taking away land from farmers based upon their race. Now, 80% of the food producing lands in South Africa is going to go fallow next season, but these ideas were too much for reddit to allow and have all been deleted. It's literally happening right now, someone is in a room deleting posts one by one like a Tom Clancy movie except Harrison Ford isn't down the hall printing out the screenshots.
